Baseball Recap: Century Victorious

Century's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Shelley Russets by a score of 15-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Diamondbacks: when they faced off against the Russets on Saturday, they had to take a 15-1 loss.

Century got a massive performance out of Jace Hammond, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Short, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Century always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shelley only posted an OBP of .353.

Century's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Shelley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Century didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Malad on the 17th. As for Shelley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-4 win against Bear Lake on the 20th.
