Football Recap: DeRidder Takes a Loss

DeRidder lost against Jennings back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The matchup between the Dragons and the Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Dragons falling 37-21.

Although DeRidder took the loss, they still got scores from Jayden Merriwether, John Lesaux, and Jaiden Cooper.

DeRidder dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jennings, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

DeRidder and Jennings will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Dragons are set to take on their familiar foe Eunice at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Jennings will challenge rival Lake Charles College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
