Soccer Game Preview: Old Lyme vs. Bacon Academy

The Old Lyme Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Bacon Academy Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Old Lyme after they put the first goal on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Portland by a score of 2-1. Old Lyme fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Portland since Monday.

Meanwhile, Bacon Academy made easy work of Lyman Memorial on Monday and carried off a 7-1 victory. With Bacon Academy ahead 4-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Bacon Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Old Lyme, they now have a losing record of 4-5-2.
