For the first time this season, Arapahoe will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Grandview Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Arapahoe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Rock Canyon, who was ranked 20th at the time (Arapahoe was ranked 15th). The Warriors enjoyed a cozy 33-14 victory over the Jaguars on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Landon Drumm continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 38 yards and one TD, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. Marcello Jaramillo was in the mix as well, providing Arapahoe with two touchdowns.
Arapahoe didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Rock Canyon to a completion percentage of just 38.1%. The team can thank Darren Fukuhara for the heroic effort on defense: he. Arapahoe wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 73.3%.

Arapahoe's defense didn't let Evan Diebold, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Brody Sieck with 2.5. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11. Another thorn in Rock Canyon's side was Connor Gilchrist, who made 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Grandview got themselves on the board against Rock Canyon last Saturday, but Rock Canyon never followed suit. They breezed past the Jaguars to the tune of 37-0. That looming 37-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolves yet this season.
Arapahoe better keep an eye on Blitz McCarty. He was instrumental in Grandview's win, throwing for 176 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave McCarty a new career-high in rushing yards (24).
Arapahoe's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Grandview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Arapahoe was able to grind out a solid win over Grandview in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 25-13. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wolves' Caleb Llamas, who rushed for 117 yards and one score on only 12 carries.
