Soccer Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

If Brighton was feeling good fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Kirby on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the South Gibson Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. It was the first time this season that Brighton let down their fans at home.

Brighton suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 10-9-1. As for South Gibson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6-1.

As of now, neither Brighton nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
