            Softball Recap: Petersburg Buffaloes vs. New Deal Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Petersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  the New Deal Lions, falling  23-6.
  E Rendon was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  hit was  her first of the season.  KYNLEE OVALLE was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for New Deal,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 2-5 record.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petersburg will head out to  take on Ralls  at 5:00  p.m.  on March 11th. As for New Deal, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Liberty  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Liberty has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.3  runs per game on average), something New Deal will no doubt try to take advantage of.
