Soccer Recap: Old Lyme Comes Up Short

Old Lyme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils. Old Lyme were not able to make up for their loss to Coginchaug Regional from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Old Lyme's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-2. As for Coginchaug Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-2 record this season.

Old Lyme will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwich Free Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coginchaug Regional, they will head out to square off against North Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
