Baseball Recap: Adams Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer last Saturday, Adams Central came back down to earth. The Patriots fell just short of the St. Paul/Palmer Wildcats by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The match marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jackson Sughroue was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Wahlmeier, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Paul/Palmer, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Adams Central has already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Burke on the 28th. St. Paul/Palmer has also already played their next match (against Seward), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
