Baseball Recap: Washington Township Comes Up Short

If Washington Township was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Lake Station Edison on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Senators lost 11-0 to the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies on Monday. The Senators haven't had much luck with the Mustangs & Fillies recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Kouts, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

Coming up, Washington Township will square off against Griffith at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kouts, they will welcome Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs & Fillies are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Trojans a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
