Basketball Game Preview: Fairlawn Jets vs. Houston Wildcats

Fairlawn hasn't had much luck against Houston recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Fairlawn Jets will square off against the Houston Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fairlawn is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 60-32 defeat at the hands of Russia. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 654th, while the Raiders are ranked 232nd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-38, which was the final score in Houston's tilt against Fort Loramie on Tuesday.

Fairlawn's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Things could have been worse for Fairlawn, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Houston when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Fairlawn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
