Basketball Recap: Clovis Takes a Loss

Clovis lost against Clovis East back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clovis Cougars took a hard 67-48 fall against the Clovis East Timberwolves. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 92nd).

Clovis has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Clovis East, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-6.

Clovis has already played their next match (against Clovis West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clovis East won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Redwood at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
