Volleyball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Godby Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-14, 25-8.

Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Godby, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Walton Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Godby, they will challenge Wewahitchka at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
