Baseball Recap: Culver Academies Takes a Loss

Culver Academies was the 13-2 winner over Morgan Township when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 7-4 to the Cherokees on Tuesday. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cherokees since Tuesday.

Max Grundberg made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Culver Academies' record is now 0-2. As for Morgan Township, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.

Looking ahead, Culver Academies will face off against Westville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morgan Township, they will challenge South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cherokees' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Satellites have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
