Basketball Recap: Kohelet Yeshiva Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wyncote Academy last Monday, Kohelet Yeshiva came back down to earth. Kohelet Yeshiva had to suffer through a 73-32 loss at the hands of the Cristo Rey Philadelphia Blue Pride . While losing is never fun, Kohelet Yeshiva can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while Cristo Rey Philadelphia is ranked 70th).

Despite the loss, Kohelet Yeshiva still got an impressive performance from Chezky Levitt, who posted 22 points. The matchup was Levitt's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nate Wallace, who put up six points.

It was another big night for Devin Booker, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 18 points and seven steals for Cristo Rey Philadelphia. Booker has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 14 times he's played. Nigel Adamson was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Kohelet Yeshiva now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Kohelet Yeshiva has already played their next game (against AIM Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cristo Rey Philadelphia has already played their next matchup, a 62-56 victory against Prince George's Christian Academy on the 31st.
