Baseball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison and Mountain View squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Madison had to settle for second. They fell 9-4 to the Mavericks. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Mavericks: they've now lost four in a row.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain View, they will square off against Rocky Mountain at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight.
