Basketball Game Preview: Christ Chapel Academy vs. Clinton Grace Christian Eagles

Having just played yesterday, Christ Chapel Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Clinton Grace Christian Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clinton Grace Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Christ Chapel Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Christ Chapel Academy beat Virginia Girls HomeSchool 57-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for Christ Chapel Academy.

It was another big night for Zaria Gaskins, who posted 19 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Nyanbuot Woul Makec, who earned ten points and six rebounds.

Christ Chapel Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Clinton Grace Christian played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 88-56 loss at the hands of Riverdale Baptist. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Crusaders are ranked sixth).

Christ Chapel Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Clinton Grace Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
