Basketball Game Preview: Hubbard Eagles vs. Ravenna Ravens

The Hubbard Eagles will take on the Ravenna Ravens in a tournament on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Hubbard earned a 67-57 win over Marlington. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Hubbard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenyen Franklin, who went 7-for-14 en route to 25 points. That's the most points Franklin has posted since back in January of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Songer, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Hubbard was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They are 12-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Ravenna was able to grind out a solid win over Rootstown on Saturday, taking the game 59-47.

Ravenna's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Hubbard, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
