Recap: North Central Knights vs. Cheraw Braves
This season hasn't been kind to the North Central Knights, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 62-19 loss at the hands of Cheraw. North Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-5.
Among those leading the charge was Cherita Burns, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was My'Shauna Worrell, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
North Central's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.9 points per game. As for Cheraw, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
North Central will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lewisville at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Lewisville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday. As for Cheraw, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Central has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
