Basketball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Mitchell suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2024 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 63-25 loss at the hands of the Torrington Trailblazers. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trailblazers: they've now lost four in a row.

Mitchell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kate Pieper, who posted eight points. Pieper has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Mitchell now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Torrington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Mitchell has already played their next game, a 78-33 loss against Bridgeport on the 18th. Torrington has also already played their next match (against Burns), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
