Central is 1-9 against Brooks since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Lions at 4:30 p.m. Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Hatton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Wildcats blew past the Hornets 13-2 on Monday. Considering the Wildcats have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Chloe May made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Mycah Beth Ray was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kilee Dowdy, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive matchups.

Brooks might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to Wilson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Brooks, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Central has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Brooks struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
