Heritage entered their tilt with Loudoun Valley on Friday with 12 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 13. They came out on top against the Loudoun Valley Vikings by a score of 41-29. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Vikings are ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heritage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Makitka, who posted seven points in addition to nine rebounds and eight steals. Makitka is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Puzinski, who earned seven points along with eight boards and three steals.

Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Heritage's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.1 points over those games. As for Loudoun Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-37 victory against Loudoun County on the 25th. As for Loudoun Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-35 defeat against Woodgrove on the 25th.
