Preview: Scales Mound Hornets vs. Shullsburg Miners
The Scales Mound Hornets will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Shullsburg Miners at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Scales Mound has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 265 points over their last four games.
Last Saturday, Scales Mound beat Fulton 56-46.
Thomas Hereau continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with six assists and four steals. The game was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Seth Birkett was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Shullsburg, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-44 loss to Potosi on Thursday. Shullsburg has not had much luck with Potosi recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Scales Mound's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Shullsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Scales Mound didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Shullsburg when the teams last played back in November, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scales Mound since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
