Volleyball Recap: Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees vs. Ritchie County Rebels
There's no place like home for Clay-Battelle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ritchie County Rebels on Monday. For the Cee-Bees, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2016.
Clay-Battelle walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 22-25, 25-10.
Morgan Wilson paced Clay-Battelle's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wilson got some help from Maggie Lemley and her 25 assists. Nevaeh St.Clair controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.
Clay-Battelle's win bumped their record up to 21-18. As for Ritchie County, they dropped their record down to 5-18 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Looking ahead, Clay-Battelle will take on St. Marys in a tournament on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Cee-Bees surely won't give up without a fight. Ritchie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
