Basketball Recap: Salem Hills Skyhawks vs. Cedar Valley Aviators
Salem Hills unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 75-70 to the Cedar Valley Aviators on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Salem Hills lost, don't look at Elijah Gasser. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-15 to rack up 26 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Ryder Hales was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 11 points and three steals.
