Elmwood-Murdock proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Freeman Falcons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted against the Falcons since September 1, 2022.

Brooke Goudie paced Elmwood-Murdock's offense, picking up 13 kills. Goudie got some help from Lucy Backemeyer and her 41 assists. Backemeyer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jalyn Fleischman, each putting up two.

Elmwood-Murdock has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Freeman, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten matches and leaves them with a 21-4 record.

Elmwood-Murdock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Johnson County Central on the 16th. As for Freeman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Auburn on the 16th.
