Basketball Recap: Sequoyah's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Sequoyah had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South-Doyle Cherokees on Tuesday, sneaking past 48-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs have posted since December 15, 2023.

Sequoyah's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for South-Doyle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoyah has already played their next match (against Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South-Doyle has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Lenoir City.
