Softball Recap: Christel House Gets the Win

Christel House's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Purdue Polytechnic Techies. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Techies, too.

Alyssa Schultz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Schultz wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Allie Schultz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Christel House now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Purdue Polytechnic, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Christel House didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-3 win against Herron on the 12th. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-13 victory against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 15th.
