Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Lake Washington

Lake Washington won the last time they faced Bothell, and Ashley Uusitalo did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lake Washington Kangaroos were the clear victor by a 58-33 margin over the Bothell Cougars on Friday thanks in part to Uusitalo, who went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Reese Roberts, who posted two points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Despite the loss, Bothell still got an impressive performance from Charlotte Lipkin, who went 9 for 19 on her way to 20 points and eight boards. That was a full 60.6% of Bothell's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Brooke, who had six points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Washington and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Bothell, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Lake Washington has already played their next game, a 58-47 win against Sumner on the 20th. As for Bothell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-29 victory against North Creek on the 18th.
