Soccer Recap: Crandall Takes a Loss

Crandall managed to keep up with Kaufman until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Crandall Pirates came up short against the Kaufman Lions, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Lions are ranked 175th).

Crandall dropped their record down to 7-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Kaufman, they moved to 12-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Crandall will be playing in front of their home fans against Midlothian Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Kaufman, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Kaufman duke it out with the Terrell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaufman will be up against Terrell's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.88 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
