Soccer Game Preview: Warren Central vs. Saltillo

The Warren Central Vikings will take on the Saltillo Tigers on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Warren Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-3 margin over Lake Cormorant. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 12 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Lake Cormorant from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Daniel Westbrook led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saltillo). They put the hurt on Neshoba Central with a sharp 6-1 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Saltillo is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four games. As for Warren Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-2-2.
