Softball Recap: Flathead Wins Going Away Against Bozeman

Flathead was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bozeman on Saturday. The Braves/Bravettes put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 16-1 win. This was payback for the Braves/Bravettes, who suffered a 6-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Mackenzie Brandt, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Makenna Korf also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Flathead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Flathead's record now sits at 2-9. As for Bozeman, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Flathead will square off against Columbia Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bozeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
