The Byron Eagles will challenge the Coleman Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Byron is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Mt. Morris with a sharp 15-8 win on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last eight times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Braylen Fish was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam McKay, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Byron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Coleman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 5-3.
Brennan Glazier spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Coleman is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Coleman's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Schrank, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Asher Hess also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Byron's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-9. As for Coleman, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
