The home team had won the previous six meetings between Frankfort and Bear Lake, and Frankfort kept the tradition alive. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lakers on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Frankfort had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Ella Newbold paced Frankfort's offense, picking up seven kills. Newbold got some help from Alice Luther and her 25 assists. Luther also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Neysa Hodge, each putting up two.

Frankfort's victory bumped their record up to 14-9-1. As for Bear Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-21.

Frankfort wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Glen Lake on the 18th. As for Bear Lake, they are taking a road trip to take on Cadillac Heritage Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
