Softball Recap: Heritage Coyotes vs. Frisco Raccoons

Heritage extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 4-10. They came up short against the Frisco Raccoons, falling 20-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Frisco, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

For Frisco's part, Leija Folauo'o made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Folauo'o has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Frisco got a massive performance out of Arista Cojocaru, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Cojocaru a new career-high. Camille Dugas also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
