Soccer Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

Decatur lost to Southlake Carroll back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles came up short against the Dragons, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, Decatur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while Southlake Carroll are ranked tenth).

Decatur's goal came courtesy of Braelyn Meador, who's now up to two this season.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southlake Carroll, their record now sits at 3-0.

Decatur didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Stephenville on the 6th. As for Southlake Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Nolan Catholic on the 3rd.
