The Stratford Prep Lions will head out to take on the Pescadero Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Stratford Prep is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering KIPP Navigate College Prep just ended the team's eight-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since September 17th.
Stratford Prep couldn't get the win, but they sure gave KIPP Navigate College Prep a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-23, 25-12.

Stratford Prep's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Riana Parikh, who had ten digs and two assists, and Vanessa Wang, who had four aces and three digs. Wang is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Pescadero waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-12.
Stratford Prep better keep an eye on Perla Hernandez. She was instrumental in Pescadero's win, getting 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Hernandez has posted since back in September.
Pescadero was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in 12 consecutive matchups.
Stratford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Pescadero, their record now sits at 19-3.
Stratford Prep came up short against Pescadero when the teams last played back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
