Franklin came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lakeland Eagles.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Lakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Franklin will be playing at home against Plymouth Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.4, the Eagles 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
