Basketball Recap: Jayda Haley Key Part of a Team Effort in Sabercats Win

There's no place like home for Sabino, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks 40-37.

Sabino's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayda Haley, who posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Haley has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Melia Graham, who put up 11 points and three steals.

Sabino's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Yuma Catholic, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-6.

Sabino will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Amphitheater at 5:30 p.m. Amphitheater will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sabino surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yuma Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Parker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
