Soccer Game Preview: Lyons vs. Naperville Central

The Lyons Lions will take on the Naperville Central Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Naperville Central will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Lyons extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Lions' defense stepped up to hand Minooka a 6-0 shutout. Lyons' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central got the win against Minooka on Wednesday by a conclusive 5-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Naperville Central's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while Minooka are ranked 111th).

Lyons' win bumped their record up to 7-1-3. As for Naperville Central, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
