Volleyball Recap: Mojave Takes a Loss

Mojave and Basic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mojave had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2. The Rattlers haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kaleb Law paced Mojave's offense, picking up 14 kills. Law got some help from Aaron Bagalawis and his 41 assists. Finally, Quintrell McGee kept Mojave's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Leading Basic to victory were Blake Bevell and Derek Dennett. Bevell had 26 digs and two aces, while Dennett had 25 assists and eight digs. Those 25 assists gave Dennett a new career-high.

Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Basic, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-10.

As of now, neither Mojave nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
