The Iola Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Burton Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Iola's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Burton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Iola's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Burton. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly two runs.

The result came thanks to Brody Vaughn's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 16 Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Iola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Fowler, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
