Recap: Berthoud Spartans vs. Weld Central Rebels

The Berthoud Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-21 victory over Weld Central at home. The win was some much needed relief for Berthoud as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Berthoud was led to victory by Avery Pfohl and Maddie Rogers. Pfohl scored 21 points along with five steals, while Rogers scored 15 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Rogers scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Martinez, who scored ten points.

Berthoud will be playing in front of their home fans against The Classical Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Classical Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Weld Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Sterling focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
