Football Game Preview: Waterloo Cougars vs. Vina Red Devils + How To Watch

The Waterloo Cougars will take on the Vina Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Waterloo and six for Vina.

Waterloo is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Sheffield last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 41-18. The Cougars were down 34-12 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the defeat, Waterloo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bryson Gallagher picked up 77 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Meanwhile, Vina fell victim to Hackleburg and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Panthers 42-0. The shutout was out of character for the Red Devils seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Vina's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Waterloo, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
