Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Perry Central's Third in Last Four Outings

Perry Central won the last time they faced Mount Olive, and Aydin Lawrence did his part to make sure it happened again. The Perry Central Bulldogs snuck past the Mount Olive Pirates with a 49-45 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Lawrence, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high.

Perry Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Mount Olive, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Central will challenge Purvis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Purvis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season. As for Mount Olive, they will host Magee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
