Volleyball Recap: Paoli Rams vs. Lanesville Eagles

Paoli had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 1-10 to make it ten. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lanesville Eagles. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kalyn Hannon paced Paoli's offense, picking up four kills. Hannon got some help from Maddie Vernon and her five assists. Finally, Tariana Burkhead kept Paoli's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

As for Lanesville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4. Surprisingly, this marked their fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Leading Lanesville to victory were Sydney Hodges and Mallory Kelton. Hodges had ten digs and one assist, while Kelton had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces gave Kelton a new career-high. Ava Similer also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Coincidentally, Paoli and Lanesville will both be playing Vincennes Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Alices at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
