Football Game Preview: Clark Chargers vs. Amplus Academy Archers

The Clark Chargers will challenge the Amplus Academy Archers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Clark needed a bit of extra time to put away Mojave. They snuck past the Rattlers with a 31-25 victory. Clark's win was all the more impressive since the Rattlers were averaging only 11.29 points allowed on the season.

Taedyn Parks had a dynamite game for Clark, throwing for 174 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, Parks also racked up 121.1 passer rating, the most she's had since January 2nd. Kaynina Afemata was another key player, picking up 39 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Amplus Academy didn't have too much trouble with Durango on Tuesday as they won 24-6. That looming 24-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Archers yet this season.

Clark's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-15. As for Amplus Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Clark skirted past Amplus Academy 14-12 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Clark repeat their success, or does Amplus Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
