Soccer Recap: Northwest Starts Season with Victory Against Mckinney Boyd

Northwest had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the McKinney Boyd Broncos a 4-0 shutout on Friday. The score was close at the half, but the Texans pulled away in the second half with three goals.

McKinney Boyd now has a losing record at 0-1-1.

Northwest will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Midland Legacy at 4:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025. McKinney Boyd will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th.
