Fort Worth Country Day had already won 16 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it 17 on Monday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Covenant Classical Cavaliers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 back in February.

Fort Worth Country Day's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Covenant Classical, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-1 record this season.
