Basketball Recap: Ragsdale Falls Despite Big Games from Brooke Parker and Aaliya Boddie

Ragsdale fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Southwest Guilford on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Guilford Cowboys. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Ragsdale had strong showings from Aaliya Boddie, who posted 16 points, and Brooke Parker, who earned 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Mya Boddie, who had eight points.

Ragsdale's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Southwest Guilford, they moved to 8-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Ragsdale will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest Guilford, they will head out on the road to take on Grimsley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
