Basketball Recap: Center Point Comes Up Short

Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Junction Eagles, falling 47-24. The Pirates were probably out for revenge after losing 30-20 to them when the teams met back in January of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Center Point's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Junction, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-14.

Center Point and Junction could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Center Point (ranked 1361st) will meet Harper (ranked 429th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Junction will take on San Saba at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 1,191 places (1360 vs. 169).
